Daily Alert: Friday 22nd September 2017

Mark Nugent Daily Alert, Sept 2017

Forex Analysis for Friday 22nd September 2017

Oh dear, thing go a bit pear-shaped overnight. North Korea leader Kim calls Trump a “dotard”. I had to Google that. North Korea threaten to test an H-Bomb in the Pacific according to reports citing North Korea’s Foreign Minister.

As you might imagine, the markets go a wee bit risk-off. Equities are down, US 10 Year yield drops, Gold is up and the JPY strengthens. Classic risk-off.

Later today we have CPI and Retail Sales in Canada and Parliamentary Elections in New Zealand. UK PM May gives much awaited speech on Brexit in Florence.

Note that on Sunday we have German Federal Elections.
