Daily Alert: Tuesday 22nd January 2019

With the US on holiday yesterday the markets are quiet and slightly risk-off due to the China GDP situation. It will be interesting to see what happens when the US sessions starts – will we see a return to the bullish sentiment of the last two weeks or will the IMF forecast of global slowdown sour the markets? This will be well worth revisiting tonight before the equity indices close (9pm GMT for European markets and 10pm GMT for US markets).

The GBP continues to show weak strength, if you know what I mean. My swap-free account has been validated and I will start to investigate how suitable it is for longer-term trading on the GBP with large stops and higher risk. I will report in due course.

See you tomorrow at the webinar – 7pm.
