Daily Alert – Wednesday 7th April 2021: Directionless markets post-Easter

We have a very sparse economic calendar this week. Risk sentiment has been either indecisive or risk-off. US equities moved up on Monday and have been static since. Non-US equities played catch-up due to being closed on Friday (and some also on Monday) for Easter so it’s all a bit of a mess with these variable closures.

The GBP is falling for reasons unknown, and the EUR is rising for the same reasons. The JPY/commodity currency world is hard to judge due to the lack of any real and sustained sentiment other than indecision.

It is not the first time that Easter has caused two weeks of difficult trading conditions.

Since I last wrote, I closed Trade 18 (EURUSD short) for a gain of 0.55% and Trade19 (USDJPY) for a gain of 1.75%. Videos of both are available for VIP Club Members.

Not to worry. I will be back tomorrow with your March Performance Report.
