Monthly and YTD Performance: June, +5.67%

Good morning.

I completed five trades in June, including the first (modest) loser.

The highlight was WTI long on 4th June, a reversal trade after an OPEC+ meeting that disappointed the markets. That made +3.72%.

Trading the ever-weakening JPY worked again, as it had in May, as I took USDJPY long on 20th June. Gain was +2.14%.

Then we had the first loser of the year. Another bite at WTI. It just went nowhere and I got out for a small loss of -0.13% against my risk of 2.0%.

Rounding the month out were two forex trades, both of which I exited at breakeven.

Total gain for the month was +5.69% and year-to-date is +32.4%.

The video contains more information on each of the trades: the rationale for entry, trade management, and the exit. This is a great learning resource for all traders. There’s always something to learn from a post-event review.
