Weekly Review: Friday 15th June 2018

The ECB announced an extension to QE through to the end of the year and stated that that will be the end of it. They also pushed back their forecast of likely timing for the first post-QE rate rise. The market reacted to this part of the news and the EUR fell and European equities rose. Despite the plethora of risk events this week, the ECB meeting was the only one that really moved the market. All-in-all it was a quiet week with too many economic risk events and geopolital shenanigans to trade safely, so the market took a breather. Roll on next week.
