Weekly Review: Friday 8th February 2019

A nice start to the week with risk on sentiment. However we went neutral on Wednesday and then off on Thursday and Friday due to global growth concerns and looming US sanctions on China due on March 1 which will come before any meeting between Trump and Xi.

The Fed keep up the dovish rhetoric on Monday and Wednesday and Thursday (looks like choreography to me) and also mentions the possibility of not fully unwinding QE.

The BoE, RBA and the ECB all downgrade GDP forecasts for the next few years.

My S&P500 and USDCAD long trades both close out for a total gain of almost 4% for the week. Nice.

I’ll do a short video over the weekend on the Trading Experiment and I’ll see you on Monday with your Trading Plan for week 7.

Have a great weekend.
